Who this covers
PikolBond is a community site for pickleball players at www.pikolbond.com. This policy describes how the site handles personal information today. It applies to everyone who creates an account or signs in, whether with an email address or Google.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and password (the password is stored only as a hash by our sign-in provider), or, if you use Google, the account identifier and the details they share with us (see below).
- Profile you write: display name, username, city, skill level, an optional bio and optional profile photo, and who can see your profile.
- What you post: posts, comments, reactions, photos, circle memberships, connections, blocks and reports you make, and your notification settings.
- Technical: a sign-in session kept in your browser so you stay signed in, and routine security and error logs kept by our hosting providers.
Signing in with Google
We ask only for the basic information needed to sign you in: your name, email address and account identifier (Google: openid, email, profile).
Sign-in with Facebook is not offered at the moment. If we add it, this policy will be updated first.
We do not read your friends or contacts, do not post anything for you, and do not request any other data from your Google account. Your provider name is only offered as a suggestion for the display name field, which you can change. We do not copy your provider profile picture. Your Google sign-in record is stored with our sign-in provider so you can sign in again.
PikolBond does not merge accounts itself. Our sign-in system (Supabase Auth) does automatically attach a Google sign-in to an existing account when both use the same email address, so one person with one email gets one account. If the email addresses differ, you get a separate account. Connecting a second sign-in method yourself in Settings is not switched on yet.
How it is used
To run your account and the community: showing your profile and posts to the people your settings allow, connecting players, sending in-app notifications, keeping the site safe (reports, blocking and moderation), and fixing problems. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Your profile is visible according to the setting you chose (public, members only, or connections). Posts are visible to the audience you pick: public, connections, or a circle. Your email address is never shown to other players. Moderators can see reported content so they can act on it.
Service providers
PikolBond runs on Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage) and Lovable (website hosting). They process data on our behalf to provide the service. Google processes your information under its own policy when you choose to use it to sign in.
Your choices
- Edit your profile, photo and visibility at any time.
- Remove a post, comment or photo you made.
- Delete your account: see how to delete your data.
How long we keep it
Your information is kept while your account is open. When you ask to delete your account your profile is hidden and a 30-day period starts, during which you can cancel. Automatic permanent deletion at the end of the 30 days is not switched on yet, so for now nothing is removed automatically when the period ends. This page will say so when it is.
Children
PikolBond is not meant for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
